Problem with Microsoft Exchange calendars and iOS12

We’ve had multiple reports of an issue with Exchange calendars in Timepage since the update to iOS12.

iOS 12 introduced new restrictions for devices that have mobile device management (MDM) profiles installed.

To check if this is likely to be affecting you, please go to “iOS Settings → General → Profiles” and check if you have an MDM profile installed. Then, you should also check the specific restriction: “Opening documents from managed to unmanaged apps not allowed”.

By default, any device running iOS 12 that has an MDM profile with the above restriction installed will not be able to share calendar data with Timepage (or most other third-party calendar apps on iOS).

To resolve this, you will need to speak with your IT department, who will be able to either:

  1. Add Timepage as a “managed app” in the MDM profile.

OR

  1. Remove the “Opening documents from managed to unmanaged apps not allowed” restriction from the MDM profile.
