Navigating Timeline
Timeline is the hub for events in Timepage, featuring our take on what we believe is a unique and effective calendar experience. Timepage’s philosophy with Timeline is simple: instead of showing the month as an overview, Timeline will only show between three and 10 days, including today. This helps narrow focus, see what’s most relevant, and declutter the interface.
After launching Timepage, Timeline is the default screen. Here, you’ll see a vertical list of upcoming days. Along the left side is the month and year alongside the days of the week, which feature their name and number. Each day will be contained inside a box, visibly separated from the day below it.
Events in Timeline are immediately identifiable by their title, which is inputted by the user upon creation. Each is sorted by their time, with “All Day” beginning first and moving forward as the day passes. This time can be seen to the left of the event, a space also occupied by the event’s assigned calendar color, which helps you understand which calendar that event belongs to at a glance.
In Preferences under “Timeline,” you can choose the Multi-line layout mode to provide more detail for your events on the Timeline. For example, Multi-line mode will show the calendar color and type, the Actions list, start and end times, and details about location. a
To view days further in the future or past, simply scroll up or down on the screen until the desired date. As you continue forward or backward, Timepage will let you know how far you’ve ventured from the current day. After you’ve seen what you’re looking for, tap the arrow at the bottom of the screen to return back to the present.
Timeline is the best place to navigate to other sections of the app, too. From the Timeline panel, swipe left to right to see the Heat Map, tap a day to open Day View, or swipe right to left to open Menu.
